Description:

On-going training in the Brazilian art form of Capoeira, in association with the group "Dende do Recife". In recent years, capoeira has exploded in popularity world-wide, and has now come to Wolfville!

"Capoeira is a powerful Brazilian artform which combines elements of combat, dance,poetry, martial technique, acrobatics, folklore, ritual and music; but above all else it is a celebration of spontaneous and creative expression.
Combining the artistic beauty of music with the skillful development of the body, capoeira helps develop balance, motor co-ordination and group dynamics.
A highly social activity, it engenders a close community experience among its members."
